Lurie Irene Bandy, 90, of Ludlow, passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Pristine Senior Living in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church in Ludlow. Lurie was a God-fearing woman who loved gospel music and her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an avid doll collector and would frequently babysit for elementary school teachers. Lurie was known as the ‘Great Bake Sale Baker’.
Survivors include her son, Terry (Valerie) Bandy of Ludlow; daughters, Karen Fugate of Ludlow, Donna (Clarence) Karnes of Ludlow; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Bandy (2013) as well as many brothers and sisters.
Visitation is on Friday, July 14, 2017 from 10:00 AM to the hour of service at 12:00 PM all in Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, P.O. Box 16188, Ludlow, KY 41016.
Interment in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Erlanger, KY.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Ludlow Fire Department, 234 Oak Street, Ludlow, KY 41016.
