Catherine Faris, 97, of Cincinnati, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2017 at Hillebrand Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Cincinnati. She was the middle child of eleven children, helping to care for her younger siblings. She became a Teacher and Assistant Principal from the North West School District in Cincinnati and was fondly remembered by her many students. Catherine was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She traveled the world with her fellow teachers and was active in politics, campaigning for many local politicians. Catherine volunteered at numerous places including the senior center, the pregnancy clinic and the local hospital. She organized and MC'd the Crawford family reunion for many years.
Catherine was married to Earley Faris for over 61 years until his death in 2001. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Constance Jackson Silva (1998).
Survivors include her son, David (Debbie) Faris of Cincinnati; brother, Harold (Helen) Crawford of Peebles, OH; sister, Phyllis (late James) Cook of Olive Hill, KY; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Visitation is on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 10:00 AM to the hour of Service at 11:30 AM all in Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, 316 Elm Street, Ludlow, KY 41016.
Interment in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Erlanger, KY.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association, 644 Linn Street, Suite 1026, Cincinnati, OH 45203.
