Elizabeth June “Betty” Maegly, 91, of Kenton Hills, formerly of Ludlow, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood. She was a retired Clerk with the Federal Reserve Bank. Betty was a member of Sts. Boniface & James Church in Ludlow where she was in the Altar Society and she was an active member of the Ludlow Senior Center. Betty was an avid sports fan and loved spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her son, John C. Maegly of Florence; daughter, Mary (Tom Fair) Wheatley of Kenton Hills; grandchildren, Randy (Michelle) Maegly, Lauren (Ryan) Oppenheimer, Hannah (Kyle) McNeill and 3 great- grandchildren, Jack, Bre and Dylan.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband John Maegly (1973); brothers, James and Jack Getker and sister, Marjorie (Carroll) Aylor.
Visitation is on Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM in Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, 316 Elm Street, Ludlow, KY, 41016 with Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:30 AM in Sts. Boniface and James Church, 304 Oak Street, Ludlow, KY, 41016. Interment in Mother of God Cemetery, Latonia, KY.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Rita’s School for the Deaf, 1720 Glendale Milford Road, Cincinnati, OH 45215.
