Albert G. Goetz, 94, of Ft. Mitchell, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at his residence.  He was a Driver and Salesman for the Coca-Cola Company in Cincinnati.  Albert was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church, played football at St. Xavier High School, was an avid golfer, and enjoyed building stone walls in his free time. His indomitable spirit enabled him to survive several surgeries and to even do the thing that he most loved- Swing Dancing at the York Street Cafe. He danced until he was 93 years of age! He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge and he landed on Omaha Beach during D-Day.

Survivors include his sons, Michael Goetz of Covington, Daniel (Elaine) Goetz of Erlanger, Paul and Thomas Goetz both of Ft. Mitchell; daughters, Margaret (Gary) Poppel of Edgewood, Jeanne Kennedy of Crittenden; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Albert was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Goetz; his son, John Albert Goetz and 8 siblings.

Visitation is on Monday, January 9, 2017 from 9:00 AM to the hour of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM all in Blessed Sacrament Church, 2409 Dixie Hwy, Fort Mitchell, KY 41017.  Interment in St. John’s Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell.
