Betty Shepherd, 96, of Florence, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2015 at her residence. She was a retired bookkeeper for Schmidt Poultry and was past Associate Director of Covington Protestant Children’s Home. Betty was a member of St. John’s Congregational Church in Covington. She loved playing cards, bowling, and was a great seamstress.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Shepherd (1986) and brother, William Young.
Survivors include her sons, Tom (Margaret) Shepherd of Florence, Jim (Kathy) Shepherd of Villa Hills; daughters, Susan (Dan) Clayton of Montgomery Alabama, Patty (Dan) Miller of Covington; grandchildren, Andy, Adam, Amy, Eric, Brian, Tammy, Tom J, Scott, Dawn, and Bret; 12 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Friday, September 4, 2015 from 11:30 AM to the hour of Memorial Service at 1:30 PM all in Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, 316 Elm Street, Ludlow, KY 41016.
Inurnment in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Erlanger, KY.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 7388 Turfway Road, Florence, KY 41042.
